AUBURN – Patricia J. Cheche, 61, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.

She was a resident of Lewiston for the past few decades, until she moved in with her very best friend, Lorraine Russell, also of Lewiston.

She was born in Lewiston on July 28, 1945, the daughter of Lucien and Cara (Lacasse) Laliberty.

In the late ’80s and early ’90s, Pat and Lorraine were partners in a family restaurant called Lorraine’s Kitchen on the corner of Maple and Lisbon Street. Later in life, Pat worked for Hannaford on Sabattus Street, at the customer service desk, where she made many friends because of her humor, outgoing personality and by being a good listener when people talked to her.

She leaves numerous friends and co-workers at Hannaford.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Christie Tabbi, and husband, Jason Tebbets, of Lewiston; future grandson, Owen; her best friend, Lorraine Russell, of Lewiston; and a very special nephew, Tank Tanguay, of Lewiston. Also surviving are her brothers, Gerald Laliberty of Webster, N.Y., and Donald Laliberty of Sabattus; her sisters, Dot Torgerson of Rochester, N.Y., and Constance Roy of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her son, Kenny Gagnon; her brother, Danny “Lib” Laliberty; and her sisters, Annette Tanguay, Lorraine Gardner and Germaine Laliberty.

For their love and support through her illness, a special thank you is extended to Joseph Roy, Linda Tanguay, Moe Chabot, Ken Kirouac and Lorraine Russell. The family also wishes to thank the Hospice House of Auburn for their tender, loving care when Pat needed it most.

Pat touched many people during her life and will truly be missed by all who crossed her path during her lifetime.
