SEARSPORT – The wedding of Alison Lyn Paine and Jason Norman Wiest was held at 6 p.m. on June 30 at Captain Av Nickels Inn in Searsport. Esquire Margret Reinsch officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Wiest is the daughter of Carl and Dianne Paine of Bowdoin. Mr. Wiest is the son of Lynn Mayo Wiest and Paul Thebeau of Freeport and Tom and Chris Wiest of Westbrook.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with amethyst and crystal beads and silver embroidery on the bodice. She carried a bouquet of peonies, lilanthys and roses in creams and muted pink colors.

Marella Paine, cousin of the bride, was honor attendant, and bridesmaid was Eliza Damone, best friend.

A brother of the bridegroom, Zac Wiest, served as best man, and usher was Adam Paine, brother of the bride.

A reception followed at the inn, after which the couple traveled to a cabin at Moosehead Lake. They are residing in Freeport.

The bride is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and is a student at the University of Southern Maine, pursuing a degree in social work. She is employed at BP and P of Freeport.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Freeport High School and the University of Maine at Farmington, with a degree in geography. He is a self-employed landscaper.
