SOUTH PARIS – Floyd H. Pike Sr., 81, died Sunday morning at Market Square Health Care Center.

He was born in Sweden on July 1, 1925, one of twins born that day to John and Mildred Cole Pike.

He attended school in Oxford and was raised on the family farm in East Oxford.

He had worked at Wing’s Mill in Athens, Paris Mfg. Co., and Miller Shoe, retiring in 1988 from C.B. Cummings.

He played with the Pike Band that played at area barn dances. He loved bluegrass, country music and his car.

He married Della Louise Noyes, later married Mary Elizabeth Durgin, who survives him, and later married Pauline Libbey, who predeceased him.

Survivors include his sons, Floyd Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Stoneham, Mike and his wife, Kathy, of Norway, and Gilbert of Oxford; daughters, Carlene Corson and her husband, Kelvin, of Harmony, and Juanita Reilly of Belegrade; five grandchildren, Brandon, Mike Jr., Jesse, Liza and Tonya; a great grandchild, Issac; and a brother-in-law, Carlton Noyes.

He was the last of his siblings. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Lloyd; Erlon, Malcolm, Marshall (Mike), Bion and Gordon; and a sister, Beverly Berry.
