I feel Lewiston taxpayers are headed for a rude awakening next year.
As we are aware, Lewiston city government delayed the implementation of the new Maine State Tax schedule, moved forward with wastewater runoff payment fees, and then the governor did not veto the elimination of the business personal property legislation. This means the elderly Lewiston taxpayer will be hit hard next year as they must pick up the hole left by these actions.
Therefore, I will be voting outside my Democratic party, and vote for Chandler Woodcock and the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.
Charles Soule, Lewiston
