AUBURN – Eugenia F. “Geno” Dickson, 98, of East Rumford, died very peacefully Saturday, Oct. 21, at Schooner Estates.
She was born in North Anson, on April 10, 1908, the daughter of Earl and Pearl (Healy) Fenlason and graduated from Anson Academy, Class of 1925 and Farmington Normal School, Class of 1927.
Geno was a member of the Mexico Congregational Church, where she had also served as clerk and deaconess and past president of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rumford Community Hospital and served with the Northern Oxford Unit of the American Cancer Society (Maine Division). She was a past matron and life-member of Mt. Zircon Chapter 142, O.E.S. and was a life-member and past district deputy grand matron of District 5, O.E.S.
She was married in North Anson, on Feb. 22, 1930, to Thomas L. Dickson Sr., who died in Lewiston, on Sept. 1, 1986.
Survivors include her son, Thomas L. Dickson Jr., and his wife, Elaine; grandchildren, Erin Manwaring, and husband, Christopher, of Portland, Ore. and Erik Dickson, and wife, Cheryl, of Rumford; and great-grandchildren, Ronan and Lila Manwaring of Portland, Ore.
