LEWISTON – Joline Ann Freed, 45, of Tailwind Court in Auburn, died on Saturday, Oct. 14, at a Lewiston hospital, after a long illness.
She was born May 28, 1961, in White Plains, N.Y., the daughter of Byrl R. and Pauline L. Huppe Freed. After completing college, she went on to work as a computer engineer, a job which allowed her extensive travel, everything from working for Barbara Bush in Washington D.C. to traveling overseas to several different foreign countries, including Europe and the Middle East, to her home in Washington State. She was very well respected in her field of computer programming.
In her sparetime she enjoyed cooking. She had a love for old movies and music from the 1950s. Her greatest joy was spent surrounded by her family and friends. Her mother commented that she was a very selfless person who was always giving to others.
She is survived by her mother, Louise Freed of Auburn; her father and stepmother, Byrl and Cindy Freed of Georgetown, Ky.; a brother, Jay A. Freed of Santa Anna, Calif.; a stepbrother, Aaron Freed of Georgetown, Ky.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
