Norway – Richard S. Alimandi, 62, former resident of Auburn, died at his home in Norway on Saturday.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1944, in Rumford, the son of Manjol J. and Arthimise M. (Belanger) Alimandi.
In his early years, he worked in the shoe shop industry. More recently he worked at Superior Concrete as a welder/fabricator until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. His many interests include hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, gardening, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Lorie Keough, and her husband, Lawrence, of Buckfield and Gwen Golden of Auburn; brother, Robert Alimandi, and wife, Josie, of Lewiston; sister, Cynthia Ayotte, and companion, Rene Charest, of Auburn; grandchildren, Courtney and Kassandra Keough; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline; and his parents.
