DURHAM – A 16-year-old Durham girl escaped apparent injury Monday afternoon when the car she was driving struck and snapped a utility pole on Davis Road.
Deputy Sheriff Travis Lovering did not identify the girl. He said she was driving west on Davis Road, lost control of her car, veered off the right shoulder and struck the pole. Damage to the 2004 Ford Taurus, owned by Cheryl Meyer of Durham, was set at $3,000. There were no charges.
