LEWISTON – The Great Falls Balloon Festival’s winning photos have been announced.

Judging for this year’s photo contest is complete. Linda Roman, contest chairwoman, announces the following winners:

Best of Show: Elizabeth Lewandowski of Lewiston.

Adult: first place, Earl Williams of Sabattus; second place, Kathy Lacasse of Auburn; third place, David Mireault of Auburn.

Under 18: first place, Nicole Footer of Lewiston; second place,Mariah Warren of Greene; third place, Samantha Fiedler-Staton of Sabattus.

Honorable mentions from combined categories: Linnea St. Pierre of Auburn, Ernest Phillips of Topsham, Brenda Giasson of Lewiston.

A total of 154 photos were submitted from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. A maximum of two photos per entrant was allowed.

Winners will be awarded their prizes and ribbons at a reception being held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Woman’s Center at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Sabattus Street entrance. The public is invited to view all the entries, which will be on display at that time.

Winning and nonwinning photos will be on display during November at St. Mary’s Woman’s Center Beaker Gallery, Sabattus Street. Winning photos will also be on display in February at Central Maine Medical Center.
