$21,000 raised

BETHEL – More than $21,000 from 375 donors has been raised to date for the Bethel Historical Society’s 2006 annual fund, which supports programming and operations of the society.

Those wishing to make a tax-deductible gift to the fund should send it to the society at P.O. Box 12, Bethel, ME 04217-0012.

Winter services

NORTH WATERFORD – The Rev. George Frobig reminds parishioners of the Oxford County United Parish Churches in Stoneham and North Waterford that services will be held at 10 a.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church, Five Kezars Road, beginning Sunday, Nov. 5, and throughout the winter.

Church school for students through grade four will be held on Tuesday after school at the Stoneham town office/fire station, off Route 5. Volunteers are needed to help with activities and crafts and to provide refreshments. Those who are able to assist should contact the pastor at 693-6461.

Adult church school is being held at 7:15 p.m. Mondays at the home of Marjorie Kimball, Sawin Road, North Waterford. Contact Frobig for more information.
