MECHANIC FALLS – Mechanic Falls High School Class of 1956 recently celebrated its 50th class reunion in the gym of the former high school, now the municipal building.

A brief class meeting was conducted by Alumni Chairman Peter Dunn followed by a memorial service for deceased members, offered by Joyce Reynolds Crane.

Activities included a display of memorabilia, some of which were placed in a time capsule to be stored at Poland Regional High School to be opened by the class of 2056.

A buffet was served by Kathy’s Restaurant. Class members received a souvenir mug and a memory book prepared by Petra Brown Scherer and Gloria Callahan Gordon.

The reunion concluded with a Scotch auction and a social time of renewing old friendships.
