During the week of Sept. 25 to 29 students in Ann Boucher’s kindergarten and Becky Skilling’s first grade at the New School in Auburn got in to the spirit of America on the Move Week. They walked 2,000 extra steps every day that week to help the local YMCA reach its goal of 1,000,000 additional steps in the community. The total steps for both classes was 370,000. That’s five miles for each student and staff member.
