FALMOUTH – Paul G. Lebel, 80, died Monday, Oct. 23, at the Falmouth House.
He was born in Lewiston, April 28, 1926. He was raised in Lewiston and attended Lewiston schools.
He served as a Seabee in World War II, and then moved to New York City, where he became a hairstylist to such stars as Edie Gorme, Anne Bancroft and the Maguire sisters.
He later moved to Portland with his longtime companion and business partner, Mike Lenoci. Together they owned and operated Coiffures Ltd., a hair salon and gift boutique. They also owned and managed the Lemon Tree Inn in Ogunquit before returning to Florida.
For the last few years he has lived at the Falmouth House at Ocean View.
He leaves a brother, Dr. Ray Lebel, and his wife, Jeanne, of Falmouth; a sister, Anita Lebel Buckley, and her husband, Paul Buckley Sr., of Cumberland Foreside; 15 nieces; and six nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Victorine and Lucien Lebel; and his partner, Mike Lenoci.
