Ever have a best friend who’s a bit of a monster? That’s the norm in “The Nerd,” a comedy about a houseguest from hell that takes a humorous look at love, loyalty and friendship. Participating in the hilarity at The Public Theatre, above, are Rick Steadman, played by Pierre-Marc Diennet, and Willum, played by Evan Mueller. “The Nerd” will be staged at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26; at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and 28; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students. For tickets, phone 782-3200. The Public Theatre is at Maple and Lisbon streets in downtown Lewiston.
