I have worked in long-term care and service to adults with developmental disabilities. Whether I called Rep. John Patrick about elder issues or disability issues, he always returned my calls, showed interest, and helped with problems.

Our association started Bingo a few years ago to raise funds for our residents and program participants uncovered by Medicaid. When I called Patrick to ask if he would help us out with Bingo, he did not hesitate. He gave up his Sunday afternoons to help us raise money for our nonprofit association.

He did not listen to my calls and concerns about elder care or services for people with disabilities and he did not volunteer to help with bingo just because he and I are friends. I don’t even belong to the same political party he does.

We have the best in House District 92.
