AUBURN – A community education event highlighting several programs funded by United Way of Androscoggin County, including local initiatives of 2-1-1 Maine, Red Cross, Trinity Jubilee Center, Advocates for Children and Sisters of Charity Food Pantry, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Evergreen Subaru, 774 Center St.

Residents are invited to attend for food, music, crafts and prizes while learning more about United Way of Androscoggin County.

In addition to raising awareness, the harvest-themed event will include crafts for children, pumpkin painting, music, food, prizes and hayrides in a Subaru Baja.

Organizers are hoping to pack the Subarus on the lot with diapers (sizes 4-6) for Trinity Jubilee and canned goods for the Sisters of Charity Food Pantry.
