Please accept our endorsement of Chief Deputy Chris Wainwright to be the next Oxford County sheriff. In selecting a new sheriff, one has to consider not only experience, but respect from within the community. Wainwright has not only all of the credentials to be the next Oxford County sheriff, including his police work in Kosovo, Serbia and his recent attendance at the FBI academy, but he also has an unsurpassed knowledge of the county, county government, corrections and the sheriff’s department.

Most important, with 16 years of experience, exclusively with the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department and his recent appointment as chief deputy, all levels of county government know and respect him and his accomplishments.

On Nov. 7, we will be voting for Chris Wainwright for sheriff – a sheriff who will continue to keep our county, towns, schools and families safe.
