JAY – A truck driver upset with having to move his truck so another rig could be loaded first at a warehouse has been accused of assaulting a manager, throwing rocks at the building and threatening to get his truck and his gun.

Jay police officer Troy Young charged George Allicon, 63, of Nashua, N.H., with misdemeanor charges of assault and terrorizing after police caught up with him on Route 133 in Wilton Thursday morning.

Allicon, driving his own tractor-trailer, was supposed to pick up a load at New England Public Warehouse in North Jay, Young said.

He got upset when he was asked to move his truck so another rig could be backed in and loaded first, Young said.

A warehouse employee tried to explain the situation to Allicon, Young said, but the driver reportedly got more upset and said he was going to go get his truck and go get his gun.

The employee told a manager who came out with another employee and approached Allicon and told him to leave; that they were not going to load him now, Young said.

Allicon grabbed the manager and pushed him against the wall, the officer said, then left.

Outside, Allicon started throwing rocks as he crossed the parking lot, Young said.

Allicon left the area in his truck, but police were able to stop the vehicle a while later on Route 133. Franklin County sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Lowell and others held the truck and driver there until Young could arrive, he said.

Jay police officers Richard Caton IV and Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier went to the warehouse to conduct interviews with witnesses.

State police were called in as well to check out the rig.

Young said Allicon was issued a summons on the charges. He’s scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m., Dec. 21, in 12th District Court in Farmington.
