Wales – Frances E. Ivers, 94, a resident of Leeds Junction Road, Wales, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Erlon Danforth.
She was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Litchfield, the daughter of Alonzo and Bessey Buzzell Ridley. She attended school in Litchfield. On Dec. 15, 1930, she married Edward “Ted” Ivers. He passed away in 1999.
She and Edward worked at farming, had a market garden and bought and sold antiques. She enjoyed starching linens that she would take to antique shows. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother. She will be missed by her children and grandchildren.
She was a wonderful cook; she really enjoyed making a big Thanksgiving dinner for her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Frost, and her husband, Donald and Nancy Danforth, and her husband, Erlon, all of Wales; two grandsons, Edward Frost and Gary Danforth Sr., and his wife, Melody, all of Wales; a granddaughter, Brenda Frost of Farmington; three great-grandsons, Matthew Frost, and his wife, Tammy Long, Daniel Frost and Gary Danforth Jr. and his Tammy; three great-granddaughters, Sarah Mae Doscinski, and her husband, Josh, Patricia Tremblay, and her husband, Steve and Andrea Moore, and her husband, Rodney; seven great-great-granddaughters, Gabrielle and Jennifer Pinard, Mila Frost, Skyler Tremblay, Harley Vaillancourt, Emily Moore and Hailey Danforth; four great-great-grandsons, Isiah Doscinski, Mathis Frost, Gage Tremblay and Cameron Moore; two sisters, Florence Gilman of Readfield and Rose Cram of Manchester; a brother, Carroll Ridley of Readfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1999; a grandson, Donald Frost Jr.; a brother, Merton Ridley; a sister, Eleanor Damren; a baby sister; and baby brother.
