LINCOLN, N.H. (AP) – Two ski resorts, Loon Mountain and Bretton Woods, are expanding their services in the hope of making them more attractive vacation destinations.

“At Loon, we’re starting to develop trails that will open in December 2007,” said Stacy Lopes of Loon Mountain.

Loon is developing 40 acres of trails, terrain and lifts. The resort is working with South Peak Resort to build up its resort community by developing 400 acres at the base of the mountain. The development will include 56 home lots with ski slope access.

Crews recently broke ground on the first group of 40 condominiums. All of them are already sold for between $400,000 and $700,000.

Bretton Woods also is hoping to offer its guests a better experience.

Its owners have plans to build up the resort by building a village with about 500 condominiums.

Resort officials said the buildings will have a historic look modeled after old White Mountains hotels. Bretton Woods will break ground in spring 2008.
