AUBURN – Beginning Friday, the front window of Gritty McDuff’s, dubbed the Art & Ale window, will display 15 photographs of architectural elements taken around the Twin Cities.
From brightly colored facades on Lisbon Street to a dramatic night shot of the old Auburn fire station, Tom Reichard exposes the beauty of the cities beside the Androscoggin River. The photographs will be on exhibit through Nov. 30.
Reichard is the director of human resources at Central Maine Medical Center. He and his wife have lived in Auburn for three years. They also have a seasonal residence in the Midcoast area of Maine, and he likes to photograph both the Lewiston-Auburn area and the coastal region.
Before coming to the central Maine area, he was an active member for many years of the Merrimack Valley Camera Club in North Andover, Mass., where he lived and learned to create images with impact.
His work has appeared in the lobby gallery of CMMC, in brochures, yearbooks and on Web sites.
Art work for the Art & Ale window is selected and displayed by L/A Arts. To purchase art or find out more about the window gallery visit L/A Arts’ Web site at www.laarts.org, where the current window gallery artwork can also be viewed, or phone the local arts agency at 207-782-7228.
