DAMARISCOTTA – Louise Winiferd Quattrocchi, 92, passed away peacefully on Oct. 27, with her family by her side.

She was born on June 1, 1914, in Livermore Falls, the only child of Winnie and Jeff Cloutier. She attended Livermore Falls High School, where she was active in many school clubs and sports and lettered in basketball.

She married Samuel J. Quattrocchi at St. Rose de Lima Church in Jay, on May 10, 1936. She and Sam raised four children and enjoyed living in Livermore Falls, Monroe Bridge, Mass., and Norristown, Pa., prior to moving to Canada in 1953.

After the children were grown, they moved to South America, living in Peru and Ecuador. After retirement, they moved back to her childhood home in Livermore Falls in 1974. Although officially retired, she and Sam continued to travel to consulting assignments in many countries, including Trinidad and Thailand.

She always enjoyed music, playing the piano from sheet music and by ear. Her artistic talent was further demonstrated in a number of oil paintings she created, which will continue to be treasured by family and friends. In addition, she will also be remembered for her optimistic outlook, sunny disposition, sharp mind and quick wit.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Jane (Mrs. Douglas J. Tigert) of Bremen and Laurel (Mrs. John F. Halper) of Athens Ga.; as well as her two sons, John, and wife, Gayle, of Tsawwassen, B.C., Canada, and Larry with wife, Charlotte, of Bozeman, Mont. She will also be lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Sam.

The family would like to thank the professional staff at Lincoln Home for the care and comfort they have given Louise over the past year. They would also like to express their appreciation to the medical staff at Miles Memorial Hospital for the attention and concern with which they administered to the needs of both Louise and the family.
