Rep. Elaine Makas of House District 71, has represented her constituents promptly and efficiently. That is why I am voting for her election to the Legislature.
In addition, she is a strong environmentalist, standing up for cleaner water and cleaner air. She is an advocate to improve the quality of the Androscoggin River which, in turn, will stimulate further riverfront development and recreational uses.
She was a leader to ban button cell batteries that contain mercury so our children will not be affected by this deadly toxin. No only does she represent her constituents here and now, but works to better the quality of life for future generations.
She is commendable and admirable, and Rep. Elaine Makas deserves to be re-elected to the Maine House.
