LEWISTON – Gerard N. Lamiette Jr., 45, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born on April 13, 1961, in Lewiston, the son of Gerard N. Sr. and Gloria Lamiette. He attended Auburn schools, graduated from Edward Little High School, then went to SMVTI where he studied culinary arts.

He was an 18-year veteran of the Lewiston Fire Department and had owned and operated SKM Roofing for several years. He also worked for Air Tech Co. with his father prior to the sale of the business.

Gerry was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved hunting with his father and his dog, Thunder. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Maine Association of Fire Fighters, the International Association of Fire Fighters, and a Master Mason at the Rabboni Masonic Lodge. He could be best described as a well-loved and respected man, a very loving and devoted son and father, and a hard worker with a certifiable sense of humor.

He is survived by his parents, Gerard N. Sr. and Gloria Lamiette; his companion, Christine Plourde; his former wife, Jacqueline Roy-Lamiette; three daughters, Sara, Kirsten and Meredith Lamiette; three sisters, Holly Lamiette, Wendy Christian and Jacqueline Nelson; his uncle and aunt, David and Kay Beaulieu; a special cousin, Karin Cavallaro; and by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Harold and Irene Lamiette; and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Rachel Beaulieu.
