KENNEBUNK – The wedding of Meghan Marie Hamilton and John Paul Hanrahan was held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 18 at St. Martha’s Church in Kennebunk. The Rev. William Eagan officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hanrahan is the daughter of Steve and Donna Hamilton of Jay. Mr. Hanrahan is the son of John and Sara Hanrahan of Fairfield, Conn.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Erika Hamilton Tilger, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Katelyn Angland, Karen Buonanno, Karen Edwards and Roseanna Zizzamia Wilson, college friends of the bride, and Erin and Kristina Hanrahan, sisters of the bridegroom. Ava Tilger, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Bradley Hamilton, brother of the bride, was best man, and ushers were Greg Beach, Michael Edwards, Dennis Kokenos, Eric Marko, Michael Nelson and Daniel Urciuoli, friends of the bridegroom. John Hanrahan, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, after which the couple traveled to St. John in the Virgin Islands. They are residing in Bristol, Conn.

The bride received a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Connecticut. She is program manager for the School of Business at the University of Connecticut in West Hartford, Conn.

The bridegroom received his master’s degree in elementary education and is a third grade teacher at Greene Hills Elementary School.
