I was troubled when I arrived home from work to find two negative campaign mailers attacking Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello. I want to set the record straight, because this is not the Lois I know. The Lois I know is very concerned for the well-being of her constituents.

So much so, that once when I needed her help with an issue in Augusta and my work schedule did not allow me to meet with her during normal business hours, She invited me over for dinner at 9 p.m. to discuss it. Then she went out of her way to make sure that my concerns were addressed, and my needs were met.

That is what I call a real leader, and why I will be voting for Lois Snowe-Mello for state Senate, and I would encourage all of Auburn to do the same.
