Being committed to social justice, responsibility, paying my bills, investing in my family and my community, and being hopeful that the gifts of reason and creativity that the Lord has given us will lead us toward a truly civilized society, I am declaring my support for Gov. John Baldacci.

Education, health care, technical and economic innovation have been priorities of Baldacci’s first term while he worked tirelessly to free Maine from an inherited financial burden of the “structural gap.”

He has been there, assuring prescription availability, pursuing court action against subversion of our environment, offering new educational opportunity and preserving jobs and natural resources.

Those who believe that diligent investment in Maine’s people is the best hope, need to vote on Nov. 7 and to bring those who share the dreams to the polls. This job is forever, let’s keep moving.
