PARIS – Last year the Oxford County Youth Development program started a trust fund through the State 4-H Foundation to insure that the current programs offered to Oxford County youth will continue in years to come. This year’s campaign is in full swing and the hope is to reach the goal of $250,000. Business and individual support last year was outstanding, with pledges and cash reaching $135,000.

4-H is open to all youth in Oxford County between the ages of 5 and 18 and includes after-school programs, leadership training, 4-H club activities and projects, plus county, state and national programs. Each year Oxford County has members participating in state contests, Eastern States Exposition, Citizenship Washington Focus and National 4-H Congress.

To participate in the campaign, contact Susan Jennings, Extension educator, Oxford County Ext. 9, Olson Road, South Paris, ME 04281, 743-6329 or 800-287-1482.
