As a Lewiston taxpayer, I urge all Mainers to vote no on the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. TABOR will seriously gut needed funding for our public schools, fire and police protection.

Why should we lower our standard of living to pay for the Bush tax cuts? Have you noticed how the GOP in Washington has wasted our tax dollars with generous tax cuts to billionaires. Now they got us into the wrong war on terrorism in Iraq and are spending billions more for a lost cause.

TABOR is like the Bush plan to privatize social security: It won’t work.
