A Tamera Grieshaber testimonial may seem predictable coming from her daughter. In truth, we’re often most critical of those closest to us – and with my critical eye in focus, I’m confident that, as mayor, she will lead Auburn in deliberate, collaborative processes to develop the community its citizens desire.

I had great fortune growing up with such an involved mother. Parent-Teacher Association, school committee, field trip chaperone, athletics fan, honorary student senator – she was there. She guided without controlling, providing skills and freedom for me to become an individual. Like many children, I didn’t always want to listen – but she was honest and insightful. She’ll lead Auburn in the same fashion.

She remained involved in education long after I graduated because she’s passionate about this community. Her vision is research-based, sincere and possible.
