WILTON – An evening of slides and real-life stories of survival and adventures climbing Mt. Everest will be presented by John Bagnulo of Farmington at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the Congregational Church, Main Street.

The evening is a fundraising event for Tyngtown Club of Wilton to benefit the Wilton Free Public Library, Wilton Early Childhood Center and the Wilton Scholarship Fund.

Tyngtown Club has been serving the community since 1900, having as its first project the starting of the library. The club has continued its support of the library every year for more than 100 years.

The club has also contributed to many other local needs over the years, particularly helping with children’s projects.

The suggested donations on Friday are $25 for family groups and $10 for individuals; however any donations will be welcome.

Tyngtown Club members will provide homemade desserts, hot cider punch and coffee after the presentation in the reception room of the church. The church is handicapped accessible and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
