RUMFORD – Rumford Hospital honored 38 employees last month for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service.
Charlene Burgi of East Andover, Intensive Care Unit, and Jane Wardwell of Albany Township, registered dietitian, were recognized for 35 years of service. Burgi came to Rumford Hospital from nursing school, intending only to work at the hospital a year to pay off her loan/scholarship.
Celebrating 30 years were Anne Dolloff of Mexico, case management; Diane York of Bryant Pond, nurse manager; Gale Hill of Turner, radiology manager; and Andrea Richard of Rumford, diet assistant.
Twenty-five year award recipients were Marie Charleston of Rumford, OR; Deborah Gorham of Rumford, OR; Joanne LaPointe of Peru, oncology; Mary MacDonald of Rumford, med/surgery; and Patricia Perry Rumford, med/surgery.
Honored for 20 years were Judy Arsenault of Dixfield, med/surgery; Wanda Cote of Rumford, medical records; Melissa Litalien of Peru, central supply; Faye Philbrick of Roxbury, switchboard; Penny Richard of Peru, material services; Philip Trembley of Jay, respiratory; and Lorraine Welch of Dixfield, central registration.
15 years: Tami Andrews of Rumford, pathology; Kelley Arsenault of Rumford, OR; Gayle Russell of Bryant Pond, med/surgery; Melinda Worthley of Roxbury, social work; and Doug West of Monmouth, plant operations.
10 years: Kim Akers of Rumford, OR; Ellen Crocker of Bethel, Swift River Health Care; Carol Gould of Bethel, patient care; Pam Hebert of Greenwood, pathology; Pam Sicotte of Rumford, ED; and Kim Swasey of Rumford, rehabilitation.
Five years: Kaye Abbott of Dixfield, Swift River; Elizabeth Belanger of Andover, medical records; Loretta Boivin of Peru, OB; April Farnum of Mexico, Swift River; Sylvera Haynes of Mexico, ED; Nicole Hosie of Rumford, med/surgery; Anna Kelley of Rumford, radiology; Laurie Shover of Mexico, food service; and Karen Thurston of Rumford, OB.
More than 80 employees and family members attended the awards evening at Black Mountain of Maine, which included dinner and a video of award recipients.
