LIVERMORE FALLS – Two men accused of threatening a teenager at the Jay/Livermore Falls football game Friday in what police believe is gang-related activity now face burglary and theft charges, too.
A bat with gang designs on it and a knife were among items reported stolen an hour before two Jay men were accused of threatening a 15-year-old Livermore Falls boy with the weapons at Griffin Field, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.
Police arrested Guner Vicelich, 18, and Robert Kostopoulos, 21, both of Jay, Friday night after police broke up a shoving match at the field. Each was charged with felony criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed weapon and refusing to submit to arrest.
Police say the two had the weapons hidden in their clothing when they were approached by officers.
On Sunday night, police charged Vicelich and Kostopoulos with one count each of felony burglary and misdemeanor theft, Steward said.
Police matched shoes of the suspects to impressions left at the burglary scene, the chief said.
