AUBURN – Jeannette Mary Pelkey, 64, of Lewiston, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born in Mattawamkeag on Dec. 26, 1941, the daughter of Wilfred and Victoria (Dube) Pelkey and was educated in a one-room school house in Woodville.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Patrick’s Parish.
She was very proud of her surviving children, Lynn Welch, and her husband, Wachian, of Lewiston, Cindy McLeod of Boothbay, Danny Loudermilk, and his wife, Ann, of Auburn and Peter Loudermilk, and his partner, Ruth Doughty, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Daniel and Nikita Wing, David and Alex McLeod, Matthew and Adam Loudermilk and Karen Nash; one granddaughter by marriage, Tanya Wing; one great-granddaughter, Jenna May Wing; eight brothers, Norman Pelletier, Milford Pelkey, Nelson Pelkey, Roger Pelkey, Donald Pelkey, Raymond Pelkey, Dean Pelkey and Melvin Pelkey; five sisters, Sylvia Gasiewski, Theresa Soucy, Mildred Dicker, Carol Dunn and Marlene Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Lorena Santerre.
She will be missed by all of her loving family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Hospice House for making her final hours a peaceful experience.
