LEWISTON – Paula Anne Poulin, 47, of Auburn, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Oct. 28. She passed peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with muscular dystrophy.
She was born in Lewiston on May 22, 1959, the eldest daughter of Louis and Lorraine Metayer Bellavance. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1977, and worked a variety of jobs, most recently in the office of Dr. Limoges in Auburn.
A quick wit who enjoyed making others laugh, she enjoyed spending time with her family, her kitty kitty, and, in her final years, took great comfort in reading Bible Scripture.
She is survived by her beloved son, Quinn, of Auburn; her former husband, Roger, of Auburn; her mother, Lorraine, and her companion, George Stevens, of Auburn; her brother, Eric Bellavance, and his wife, Diane, of Lewiston; her sister, Sheila Harrington, and her husband, Duke, of Sumner; her brother, Kirk Bellavance, and his wife, Patty, of Lewiston; her sister-in-law, Sue Bellavance, of Portland; she will also be fondly remembered by her numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her father and her oldest brother, Mark, both of whom succumbed to the ravages of muscular dystrophy.
