LEWISTON – Modern Woodcrafts LLC, of Farmington, Conn., and Lewiston announces the appointment of Michael St. Germain as vice president/manufacturing, and Joseph Legere as purchasing agent.
St. Germain will be responsible for all areas of manufacturing. Using lean methods of manufacturing, he will streamline operations, reduce costs and improve overall efficiency.
A veteran in the millwork industry, St. Germain will immediately assume the position of vice president/manufacturing, while working alongside current president/CEO Donald Ramsay. Upon Ramsay’s upcoming retirement in 2007, St. Germain will transition into position of president/CEO.
Legere will be responsible for all areas of purchasing. Using innovative ideas and personal experience, he will maintain reduced inventory, improve inventory methods, cut material costs and contribute to the changes at MWLLC. Also an experienced player in the millwork/construction industry, Legere will work closely with the current director of purchasing, Irv Abramson. Immediately upon Abramson’s retirement in January 2007, Legere will become director of purchasing, overseeing all Farmington, Conn., and Lewiston purchasing activities.
