I am a health care professional. I assumed all health care industries in the United States operated with the same integrity and honesty as my Midwest private practice.
The state of Maine doesn’t pay their contracted health care bills. Yet Gov. John Baldacci’s team claims a balanced budget. I have watched technicians, nurses, allied health professionals provide exceptional care and extreme devotion to their patients, then work unacceptable long hours and not get deserved pay raises.
I am one of the doctors in Maine blessed to meet Rep. Sawin Millett, House District 95. Millett is a liaison between health care providers and legislators to help reconcile this problem of being unpaid for services rendered. He provides support, understanding, and real solutions to keep health care providers in Maine.
I have great admiration for his integrity, decency and his hard work for Mainers. He deserves support.
