A 1998 Buick LeSabre driven by Ronald E. Blodgett, 59, Carthage, sustained about $1,500 damage when a deer ran from the right side of Weld Street into the front of the vehicle. Blodgett was driving north on Weld Street about 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 when the incident occurred. The deer was killed instantly.

A 2002 Hyundai Accent sustained about $2,500 damage at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 29 when Katelynn Giasson, 18, Peru, lost control of the vehicle on the Dickvale Road in Peru.

Burglary

One of the buildings of Dirigo Middle School was burglarized sometime Oct. 24. Members of the staff helped a Dixfield police officer identify two juvenile suspects. The investigation continues.
