LEXINGTON, Mass. – Aino E. Lambert, 79, of Lexington, Mass., died Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in Minot on Jan. 3, 1927, the daughter of Abel and Olga Rosenberg Pulkkinen. She grew up in the Auburn area and attended Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School, Class of 1944.
In 1945, Aino started work for the U.S. Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C.
On Oct. 27, 1946, she was married to Don D.W. Lambert, and they started a family. When her children were older, she worked for Raytheon until her retirement.
Aino is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don D.W. Lambert of Lexington, Mass.; two children, Lisa E. Lambert of Lexington, Mass., and Mark W. Lambert and his wife, Barbara, of New Gloucester. She also leaves behind a sister; Enni Gifford of Mesa, Ariz., and four grandchildren, Matthew and Paul Aronstein and Isaiah and April Lambert.
