CASTINE (AP) – Brandon Hamilton completed 92 yards in the air and two touchdowns as Maine Maritime Academy defeated Fitchburg State 21-13 on Saturday.

All of Hamilton’s touchdown passes were to freshman Alex Coulombe.

Fitchburg State first scored when quarterback Jim Miller punched the ball into the end zone from 6 yards out. Miller ran the ball 10 times on the day for 30 yards, and was 20 of 40 in the air for 179 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Chris Tracy led the Mariner defense with 12 tackles and two sacks. Brian Guillerault added 13 tackles.
