1. This is a wonderful place to live, work and play. Then you look at the economic stats: tax burden, health care costs, the millions we owe to hospitals, billions we owe to Maine State employees, our young people are leaving our state four times faster than the national average. So instead of being complacent or complaining, I’d like to work for solutions.

2. I am very concerned for the future viability of our great state. We need to rein in spending and change the environment for business with a strong commitment to the hard-working citizens of Maine. To ensure they receive a better value for their tax dollar. Efficient, effective, responsible governing.

3. I view TABOR as a positive; who can’t agree with reasonable spending limits and the two-thirds vote to raise taxes or fees? I believe it will create a better bi-partisan working relationship, as well as better law. Then there is a budget stabilization fund for rainy days and taxpayer relief fund.

4. I believe this election is more tax and pocketbook issues. It is my understanding that there are laws on the books that protect all citizens from discrimination. I am pro-life.

5. We need to revamp Dirigo, include high risk pools and increase competition for health care providers.
