Clean Election candidate?: Yes

1. I have always been a worker, like the people of this district. Now, I would like to be of service to the people and I believe I can do this by working within the Democratic Party.

2. I would work to help create a better way to get health care to all people, which I think is a major concern to the people in my district. The costs of higher education need to be lowered as well. We need to be helping children to learn to love learning, not just how to take a test.

3. I do not support TABOR. It allows a minority of legislators to stand in the way of progress and may stop a quick response to an emergency. It would do the same to local governments as well as be costly because of the necessity of having a referendum for any spending increase.

4. So far these issues have not been prominent in my door-to-door campaigning. Instead, health care is at the top of the list of concerns. However, I am for the anti-discrimination law as it stands and am a pro-choice candidate. I believe women should be able to make their own choices, in confidence and based on their beliefs.

5. For those who qualify, Dirigo Health works fine. However, it seems to be raising the cost of insurance to regular customers. Perhaps we should handle it through MaineCare instead of tying it to an insurance company in the private sector.
