1. Because the state is in terrible condition with its high taxes and health care costs. We also have a very poor business climate. Few elected officials seem to be doing anything about fixing this. I want to try.

2. Taxes. We are the highest taxed state in the United States.

3. Our elected officials have spent faster than our ability to pay and they are out of control with our money! The state and local governments will have to live within a budget like all the rest of us. I will support the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.

4. They are important, but our high taxes and health care issues are too. I am against discrimination. Everyone is equal.

5. Dirigo Health is a failure. Not enough people have signed up and the government shouldn’t be in the health care field. Too much money has been spent on advertising and is still being spent after two years.People should look to other states and for more competitive rates.
