LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club has grown by another new member. Induction ceremonies were held on Oct. 12 to welcome Ellen R. Wood into the club.
Wood is marketing director for Community Credit Union in Lewiston. She lives in Greene with her husband, Ian, and son, Jared.
Wood is also involved in the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Ella Thompson Committee and is secretary of the Friends of Greene Central School. She was sponsored by Rotarian Jennifer Hogan of Gleason Media Group.
The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club is a service club dedicated to raising funds in order to benefit the community in a variety of ways. Annually the club distributes six $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing higher education and awards grants in varying amounts to nonprofit organizations.
