FARMINGTON – A Strong man remained in jail Monday after being accused of having a child pose naked for him and taking pictures, police said.
Harold M. Dow, 42, was arrested on a charge of felony sexual exploitation of a minor on Thursday, Franklin County Sheriff Detective David St. Laurent said.
The detective said he received a call from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services child protective unit Thursday afternoon after it received a call from a school representative indicating there may have been some sexual abuse of a child.
St. Laurent said he and the state child protective care worker investigated and then arrested Dow.
Dow also had some unpaid fines and fees and was charged with that as well, St. Laurent said.
Dow was being held on $500 cash bail on the sex charge at the Franklin County jail in Farmington as of early Monday afternoon.
