The finalists in the name-that-school campaign will be known soon. On Wednesday, students from kindergarten through sixth grade staged a rally — complete with patriotic songs, red, white and blue balloons and political speeches — promoting the short list of potential names.
Students spent the afternoon narrowing the choices from seven to three. The candidates were: Brann’s Hill School, Park Avenue School, Goff Hill School, Ledgewood School, Park Hill School, Oak Park School and Olympia Snowe School. When announced, Olympia Snowe School got the most cheers.
A name-the-school election, complete with official city voting booths, will be held at the school from 8:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Eligible voters are Auburn residents and students.
