RUMFORD – Expressive Movement PAC will host a hip-hop workshop featuring Dena Rizzo and Leah Madigan Clews on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Mountain Valley High School.

Rizzo is a renowned hip-hop dancer and choreographer from New York City. She has worked with MTV and VH-1 as well as produced four of her own hip-hop instructional videos. She is on the faculty of Showstoppers, Dance Makers and has worked with Darrin Henson’s Dance Grooves tour.

Clews, originally from Rumford, comes now from New York City.

She trained with Debbie Murphy until the age of 18. Clews is a choreographer/teacher for the Danzjam Dance Competition Company, and is also a dance captain for the New York City Dance Company “Push Factor.”

The workshop, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. is open to all dancers age 9 and older. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. For more information, call Murphy at 364-2543.
