Lewiston – A new store offering unsual gifts, toys, books and hard-to-find items has opened for the holiday season at the Lewiston Mall on East Avenue.

Owner Laurie St. Pierre, former owner of the Book Burrow, said the new store has an array of gifts, and features four main product lines: custom wreaths and swags by Country Elegance Creations; Melissa and Doug brand wooden toys and life-size dogs; Authentic Models brand games, vintage balance toys and nautical-themed gifts; and scriber’s writing pens and inks.

The store will also offer books by local authors and will help customers locate out-of-print and hard-to-find books.

The new store can be found between Radio Shack and the Silver Feather in the mall.

St. Pierre said she will assess possibly staying open beyond the holidays depending on customer interest in the store.

The public is invited to an open house on Friday Nov. 10; hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
