JAY – An estimated 400 opinion polls have been returned to the town office with more arriving each day.
The surveys were mailed out to town taxpayers and are available at the town office. They ask questions about town and school services in relation to funding that officials will use to guide them in budget deliberations.
The last day to get the surveys to the town office is Monday. The office is closed today in observance of Veterans Day, which is on Saturday this year.
By Wednesday morning, Town Manager Ruth Marden had processed 110 surveys with comments.
“I’m putting every single comment in,” Marden said.
She is typing in all the comments and they will be presented to selectmen.
