LEWISTON – The children of Fernand and Rita Mathieu of Lewiston, recently celebrated their parents’ 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married in Lisbon on Oct. 5, 1946. They have four children, Richard and wife, Patricia, Robert and wife, Linda, Raymond Mathieu, and a daughter, Suzanne Turgeon, and husband, Allan.

They have been blessed with nine grandchildren, James and wife, Preveena Mathieu, Jennifer Mathieu and husband, Henry Marcucell, Johanna Mathieu, Steven Mathieu, Darci and husband, Gregg Hamann, Kylee and husband, Brian Ames, Jessica Mathieu and Tyler and Ryan Turgeon. They also have three great-grandchildren, Connor and Colby Ames and Emily Hamann.
